My Story

My dad lived with dementia for over 10 years.  It was a real privilege to be with him, side by side, as his dementia developed.  The charity tide (together in dementia everyday) gave me invaluable support over the years. Tide is a UK wide network supporting and connecting carers and former carers of people with dementia to create real change together.

I now want to support tide to help other carers and people affected by dementia so I'm turning the wheels of my bicyle 2026 miles in a year to raise awareness of tide - and hopefully encourage people to donate much needed funds along the way!

Tide works shoulder to shoulder with carers to ensure their voices are heard.  It is for everyone affected by dementia, including current carers, former carers, people living with dementia, people who have lost someone with dementia, and care professionals.  Please look them up to find out more at https://www.tide.uk.net.  And thank you to anyone who donates to this great charity in support of my year long cycling challenge!
